Uplift Marketing, Inc., the developer and operator of Simplicitree®, is committed to protecting the privacy of financial advisors and their clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information provided through the Simplicitree platform and website.

By using Simplicitree or accessing Simplicitreeplan.com, you consent to the data practices described here.

2. Who May Use Simplicitree

Access to Simplicitree is limited to authorized financial advisors affiliated with Insight Folios, LLC (“Insight Folios”) and their approved representatives. Clients may be granted limited access by their financial advisor to view personalized financial planning materials.

Unauthorized users, including advisors unaffiliated with Insight Folios, are not permitted to access or retain access to Simplicitree.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information directly from financial advisors and their clients to support financial planning, account creation, and communication.

The types of information include:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and firm name.
  • Financial Information: Current and projected asset values, retirement income, investment holdings, Social Security data, pensions, and similar planning inputs.
  • Account Credentials: Usernames, passwords, and session identifiers.
  • Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, and usage patterns to maintain site security and performance.
4. How We Use Information

Information collected is used to:

  • Provide personalized financial planning tools and reports.
  • Maintain secure advisor and client accounts.
  • Communicate about platform updates, new features, or support needs.
  • Fulfill legal obligations or enforce site policies.

We may also aggregate non-identifiable data for internal research, analytics, or product development.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal data. Information may be shared only:

  • With a user’s financial advisor and their affiliated firm.
  • With third-party integrations explicitly authorized by an advisor.
  • As required by law (e.g., to comply with subpoenas or legal investigations).

Each advisor’s use of client data is also governed by their firm’s privacy policy.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (Transport Layer Security, or TLS) and secure hosting to protect all transmitted and stored data. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel and encrypted during transfer.

While we take reasonable steps to safeguard data, no system is completely secure. Users are encouraged to protect their login credentials and notify us of any suspected breaches.

7. Data Retention and Account Termination

When an advisor or client account is deactivated, personal data may be retained for a reasonable period as required by law, for backup, or for legitimate business purposes.

If a user’s access is revoked because they are no longer affiliated with Insight Folios, their data will be securely archived or deleted after final account settlement.

Users may request deletion of personal information by emailing [email protected].

8. Cookies and Tracking

Simplicitree uses cookies and similar technologies to authenticate users and maintain secure sessions. These cookies do not track behavior across other websites and are not sold to third parties.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Simplicitree after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
